Spring’s Super Juice

With the spring feel in the air, it is an ideal time to clean your body gently with one of our favourite spring juices.

For a refreshing, tasty and healthy juice combine the following:

  • Beetroot
  • Kale
  • Apple
  • Cucumber
  • Celery
  • Ginger
  • Blueberries

Beetroot is a powerful antioxidant and helps the liver. Studies have shown Beetroot juice can help those with cardiovascular disease, by lowering blood pressure and improving cardiac function.

Kale is loaded with nutrients ideal for wellbeing. Just some of the nutrients include calcium, vitamins A, C and K. It is also a good source of minerals copper, potassium, iron, manganese, and phosphorus.

Apple is high in a fibre known as pectin which aids digestion and can assist with bowel function and elevated cholesterol. It is high in many vitamins including vitamin C.

Cucumber is high in vitamins, is very cooling to the body, can be a good diuretic and may assist with aches and pains.

Ginger is one of the world’s super herbs. It is wonderful to break up mucous in our respiratory system, is great to warm our digestion that is often under functioning in the cooler months. It is also a great anti-inflammatory.

Celery is full of nutrition and is one of the best vegetables to assist with joint aches and pains. It is very alkalising and can clear acid wastes from the body beautifully. It is also high in Silica making it excellent for our skin, nails and hair.

Blueberries – A well known super food. They are low GI, very tasty and can assist with micro circulation ensuring healthy blood supply to eyes, kidneys and the smaller vessels in our body that often under function.
